Orillia Minor Hockey Association

Orillia Minor Hockey would like to thank its membership, coaches, referees, volunteers, employees and sponsors for their immense support and patience over this season. There was a great turnout at our most recent Membership meeting. Orillia Minor Hockey saw great interest from its membership to volunteer and offer support for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Re-vote for the re-organization between the Orillia Minor Hockey Association and the Oro Minor Hockey  - Sunday, February 23th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Orillia Minor Hockey Association Members: With our new board members in place and quorum obligations now met, the board voted to proceed with the re-organization re-vote which will take place on Sunday, February 23th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the meeting room at Rotary.  (see more) 

The Rep Reorganization vote that was held in Orillia on January 19, 2025 has been deemed as non-valid by the OMHA due to a discrepancy in the Info Bulletin that was posted to our website on January 14th, and what is listed in our Bylaws. Due to this discrepancy in listing all types of members who were eligible to vote, a re-vote must take place in Orillia to determine if we will be proceeding with the Orillia Minor Hockey Association and the Oro Minor Hockey Association Rep Program Reorganization. 

Dear Oro and Orillia Minor Hockey Members, As many of you are aware, the Oro and Orillia Minor Hockey Associations have been collaborating closely through the Rep Reorganization Committee for the past two years. During this time, the Committee has worked to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of minor hockey in Ontario. A key change that has significantly impacted our planning came in December, when the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) announced the removal of residency regulations for U10 and older age groups, affecting all levels of play.

The Oro Minor Hockey and Orillia Minor Hockey will each be hosting a vote to reorganize within their organizations. Please read the attached document for more information.
